Iloilo’s farming and fishing community is set to reap benefits from the Farm-to-Market Road Network Plan (FMRNP), as unveiled by the Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (BAFE) during a high-profile Bagong Pilipinas Town Hall Meeting held in Iloilo City. Attending the Bagong Pilipinas Town Hall Meeting on April 25, 2024 were Usec. Terrence Calatrava (Presidential Assistant for the Visayas), Congressman Lex Anthony Cris Colada (Party List – AAMBIS-OWA), Rep. Elizaldy Co (Party List – AKO BICOL), Rep. In an innovative move set to transform the country’s agriculture sector, the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (DA-BAFE) and the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) formalized a collaborative agreement on February 21, 2024. In a groundbreaking initiative aimed at revolutionizing the nation’s food logistics sector, the Three-Year Food Logistics Action Agenda was officially introduced as part of the Development of Philippine Food Chain Logistics Masterplan (PFCLM) 2023-2030.
